Our brains remember what they have experienced and 'store' those memories in different places.
Physical pain will often be stored locally, i.e.. in your shoulder or in your
neck.
Emotional pain memory is stored in the part of the brain called the Amygdala, and often as
physical pain in a local or generalized area.
Mental pain is stored in the cerebral cortex in specific memory areas, and often as physical
pain in a local or generalized area, i.e.. frontal headache.
What are the techniques?
EFT
The Body has electrical channels and special points that,
when activated, causes the optimization of those circuits... (you have heard of acupuncture, right?)
Naming the experience and tapping on these special points optimizes your body's electrical field
and resets it. ...Like the 'Reboot' button on your computer that you reset when the computer is not operating at its best. The past
is released and you are ready to process and be present in the present moment, the now. Click here to open the page that will guide you
through this process.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a technique for letting
you see the reality of your situation easier by moving your eyes while naming an experience. It turns out that the contraction patterns we
hold in our eyes affect the way we see the world, both our inner world as well as the outer.
Naming
The unconscious mind holds great power over us, both in empowering
and restrictive ways. By naming what we are perceiving we can unhook some or all of the unconscious effects of 'running on automatic
pilot'.
We are often repeating to ourselves (and to others as
well) words of thoughts that keep us from progressing. An example: I never "fill in the blank" do this right! By naming and
not feeding unconsciously old patterns we can free ourselves from the past and build a new future.
Body Movement
Observe how animals and children move and are spontaneous in feelings. We can
unlearn old holding patterns and start moving and feeling free again. I have training in Yoga, Tai Chi, Awareness Through
Movement (Feldenkrais), Sacred Dances and other methods and can guide you to increased awareness through you body's natural
intelligence.
Chi Kung
A Chinese system of movement, breathing and visualization that can rebuild healthy
patterns of thought, feeling and revitalize our health.
Various Relaxation Techniques
The more relaxed a person is the more their natural instinctive loving kindness is
available for themselves and others. How do I know? I see this daily! I have guided thousands upon thousands of people into
deeper levels of relaxation and I have consistently seen how their caring for themselves and others increases many fold as they let go of their
guarding and pre-tending to the future.
Touch Therapies
There are many techniques from "no touch" (energy work) to deep tissue that can assist you
in releasing past patterns and embracing "The Power of Now".
Meditation Techniques
"The mind is a wonderful servant but a horrible master!" Did you know it is possible
to have a quiet and calm mind? Just because your thoughts run around does not mean that you have to let the mind do that
automatically. Your mind is trainable, just like a muscle. Various meditation techniques are designed to train an unruly mind and to
allow you to connect with an intelligence much greater than what you would normally know.
Prayer
Prayer can be one of the most powerful techniques for transformation in this world.
Science has shown that prayer can heal others, even if the recipient does not know about the praying. While I am certainly not an expert in
prayer, I can support you in a prayerful life. Our heart is trainable, just like our body and our mind. What is in your heart?
What would you like your quality of heart to be?
